This piece captures the glory of a dogwood’s full blooms (bracts and all) along with the detail within its curved branches. I find so much beauty in both of these areas, and it can be hard to capture them equally in the smaller frame of an 11×14 work.

You also get the joy of seeing how full this branch is with blooms (found in the large white cluster near the middle) without missing out on what they look like on their own (seen more clearly in the bottom left and even in the detail of the individual bracts falling in the bottom right).
